3. St Austell

This is not a long trail in comparison to others but it serves as a reminder of not only the beauty of Cornwall but how we have scarred the landscape, and yet even that has its own extraordinary dignity in the vastness of the clay pits and their resulting debris.

If, sometimes, you think to yourself, ‘what was the point of that clue?’ then look around you; have you been taken to a place you would never have realised was there?  Perhaps the next road you drive down will be one of the prettiest you ever saw!  I actually think that some of the clues are just a ruse to get you ‘there’.  Don’t forget, Charles Dickens enjoyed Cornwall, too!  And I think that’s why it was called that.

Again, this trail was designed to give you something to eat or drink, something to pat and maybe to learn something.  A couple of the clues are tinged with sadness, some take you to some of Cornwall’s treats and one just made me snigger like a schoolchild.  I leave it to you to guess which one that was!

After you make your purchase you will be able to download your trail to your desktop. The trail is in the form of a word document you can simply print out then start enjoying your trail.
